About Us

Devon began his career in 2003 where he worked in the well-known family business, Kei Boiler Services. During his time there, Devon focussed on developing the combustion services by gaining the necessary skills and knowledge through training with Autoflame in the UK, which lead to him launching East Cape Combustion in 2012.

From renting a small space in the Baakens Valley with 5 employees and 2 bakkies, the company has grown to a skilled staff compliment of about 40 employees with a fleet of vehicles that service their clients from their Walmer premises. The new premises includes offices, workshops and a cutting edge training facility with a fully operational boiler room.

Their vision is to optimize Africa’s combustion and steam solutions by offering turnkey solutions in heating systems including the design, manufacture, installation and maintenance of burners, boilers, piping reticulation and insulation as well as training.

East Cape Combustion is proud to be the preferred installer for Spirax Sarco as well as the sole agent for Tuff boilers in Sub Saharan Africa. They are also the agents in the Eastern Cape for Riello, Autoflame, Limpsfield, Ivor, Cannon Bono Energia and FBR.

Burners

All sales and services (installation and maintenance) of both oil and gas package and process burners.

Boilers

Auditing, design, manufacture according to client specification, installation and maintenance of steam and hot water/calorifier boilers.

Piping Reticulation

Design, manufacture and installation of pipelines according to site requirements and client specification in either carbon steel or stainless steel. All our pipelines are designed according to SANS 347.

Insulation

Supply, manufacture and installation of steam and chilled water piping insulation to ensure maximum efficiency and safety compliance.

Repairs & Maintenance

Full SLA’s available
Ad hoc repairs
Full servicing and maintenance on complete heating systems
Auditing of efficiency to maximize energy use of combustion systems, boilers and steam lines
Overhaul and repair of valves such as – globe valves, gate valves, actuating valves, control valves, pressure reducing valves, etc.

Training

As part of our efforts to continuously equip our staff to be the best, we invested in building a leading-edge training facility which includes a fully operational boiler room for the practical portion as well as a training room for theory.

Steam is a critical part of production thus this service has since been extended to our clients where we help them to equip their staff with the necessary skills to do basic troubleshooting and maintenance on their heating systems. Understanding steam production will also have immense cost savings for the clients.

Boiler and burner workshops are led by Devon and our steam reticulation training is offered in conjunction with Spirax Sarco.
